Responsibilities:
Your duties as a chef at Babaji’s Kerala Kitchen will consist of the following:
- working together with the head chef to plan and create menus and dishes, taking into account variables like the availability of seasonal ingredients, the number of guests anticipated, portion sizes, and menu prices.
- carrying out menu items through the entire process, including preparing ingredients, butchering proteins, cooking, and plating.
cooking a variety of Indian foods, such as biryani, dosas, and speciality meals from Kerala. - ensuring, by inspection, that the requirements for quantity and quality of supplied supplies and items are fulfilled.
- arranging for the effective preparation and delivery of orders to the dining area by working with the kitchen workers and lending a hand as necessary.
Requirements:
To succeed in this position, you have to:
- possess the ability to make South Indian food or a great desire to learn.
- possess an equivalent trade qualification from Australia.
- Have three years or more of experience working in a busy kitchen.
- Have the ability to work alone when needed.
- Be adaptable and prepared to operate in varied weather conditions during festivals and weddings as needed.
- The pay range for this position is variable depending on experience and is between $60,000 and $70,000 annually.
